Sound Healing + Energy Medicine Practitioner
Over the years Mara has studied many different healing modalities. At one time she even contemplated becoming an anthropologist, but her interest in health, wellness, and her deep connection to Spirit, led her on a path to discover the ancient ways of many traditions around the world.
She has extensive experience leading workshops and classes, to a very diverse audience. She has studied mindfulness with Tibetan monks at Emory University, Medical Qigong from graduates of the International College of Qigong, and Sifu Matthew Cohen in Malibu, California. She has also studied shamanic healing and Andean Medicine under the Four Winds Society and continues her studies and mentorship with Master Don Alejandro Apaza, a Q’ero elder from the Kiko community in Cusco, Peru. She has also studied sound healing therapy with Danielle Hall and Sara Auster.
Mara led mindfulness workshops and trainings while working in the Caribbean at her corporate job at Delta. She has also led various workshops and trainings as it pertains to Qigong and Andean healing ceremonies as well as sound healing. She has more than 10 years of experience in practicing energy healing and working with clients.
She loves modalities that are rooted in ancient traditions, and is very drawn to the mysticism and practices that bring her into stillness.
She specializes in helping others receive relief from anxiety, depression, stress, insomnia, physical pain, childhood trauma and generational trauma. She can also assist you with a holistic lifestyle plan that will include movement exercises as well as a diet assessment influenced by Functional Medicine, for those looking to improve their overall health.
Mara believes that her sessions are transformational, not only because of her extensive background in many traditional healing modalities, but also because of her ability to be present. For it is through our ability to be fully in the moment, that we can allow true healing to emerge.
